My Thoughts: 

The Cover: Mmmm, what a beautiful cover. While I really liked the cover to Lick with angsty, dark and brooding David on the cover, I think the redesigned cover is totally wicked. Who wouldn't want a naked, tattooed, hot man stretched out on their bed?

The Plot:  Play was a very well written story that moved along quickly, barely leaving you time to catch your breath. Lots of action, sex hot enough to leave the reader gasping, and a contemporary story that had me laughing, cheering, and crying throughout. Another awesome story by Kylie Scott.

The Characters: Kylie's characters were very well written and fun. I loved Mal, even though his mood swings made my head spin. Ann was a pretty kick-ass character, once she developed a back bone. Any one who can handle Mal would have to be! Their love story is pretty amazing and I really enjoyed watching it develope. The supporting characters were very well done as well. I liked that Ev and David and other members of Stage Dive were a major part of the story.

Is it Worth Reading?:  Oh ya, definitely! This was one series that I will go back to. Play was such an intense read, I could not put it down. It reminds readers that love may be hard work, but it can see you through hard times. I definitely recommend Play to readers of contemporary and give it 4 out of 5 crossbows.
